No Mojo

It's been nearly 2 weeks since I last posted but I simply haven't had any mojo this last couple of weeks. My little man went away on the 6th December to the states with his Nan and Pops and since he has been gone, I've not been able to come up with anything at all. Thank goodness that he arrives back tomorrow and let's hope my mojo comes back. Missed him so much and can't wait to see him again.
This is an ATC tin that I coloured with alcohol inks and then cut the flowers from metal and coloured them to match. It's one that I did ages ago but thought that you might like to see it.

Did anyone order the Grand Caliber last week on C&C. I did and can't wait for it to come. I have got some of the embossing folders and masks that CE are now supplying and the new Caliber will allow me to use them to their full potential. Will definately post my creations when I get it and start playing.

Thanks for reading. Promise not to leave it so long next time.

Well, I never managed to get to Nostell Priory on Sunday. I was just about to set off and had this bright idea of giving them a quick call to see if the snow had affected opening hours. I'm so glad that I did as I would have had a wasted journey. So no pics I'm afraid.

However I managed to put a couple of cards together yesterday. Not the usual grungy type but quite clean cut and simple.
I've used one stamp each from Creative Expressions Sets ( Bears, Birthday and Create-a-scene Greetings ), Hydrangea and Foliage Big and Juicy inkpads, basic cardstock and Jet Black Archival Ink.

The Big and Juicy Inks are fabulous to watercolour with and contain bright, vibrant colours.

The same card but done with two different colour schemes..........the possibilities are endless with the number of dye ink pads avaliable from Particraft.

Hope you like them. Off to play some more lol xxx

The sun is out

Well the snow is finally clearing and I've managed to get the car out. Just looking at the sun shining on the snow makes me feel like Christmas but I really do think that I'm all out of Christmas cards this year.

I must write out my Xmas card list and make sure that everyone gets one this year.

At the moment I'm just waiting to see if Nostell Priory at Wakefield is open. I'm wanting to go out there today and take some photographs of it surrounded by snow. I love to take pics and often use them to look back at for my designs. Nature is a wonderful way to see colours blending together - perhaps colours that you wouldn't think of putting together normally.

Here are another couple of my designs that I have previously done. Hope you like them. Both cards were made using Creative Expressions Stamps, Cosmic Shimmer Embossing Powders and Tim Holz Distressing Inks supplied by "Particraft"

Cracked it........

Well after lots of mistakes I've found out how to upload photos.  Still got to learn how to place them where I want them on the page but you know the saying "Fairy Steps" and that's what it is for me.

Here are a couple of the Christmas cards that I did for my fair. All products used are from "particraft" and are supplied by Creative Expression. Hope that you like them..........

Bakewell Cancelled

Just a quick post to let you know that the craft fair at Bakewell has been cancelled due to the bad weather.

All that work for nothing. Must have 200 christmas cards made for it...........ah.well........at least all my friends and family are going to get a hand-made Christmas card this year. I'm usually so busy making them for others that I usually end up sending out "bought" ones. I know please don't shout at me for using a swear word lol :-)

Still not fathomed how to get photos on here yet but working at it.

It's my birthday this weekend and if I'm lucky I might get out to celebrate it, so no crafting for me these next couple of days but I could do with a little rest from it and would like to have clean hands for a change :-)

Busy, busy, busy.

Well, what a busy 2 weeks I've had since my last post. I've been preparing samples and cards for my first ever attendance of a Craft Fair.

I've got a stall at Bakewell Craft Fair this weekend, the 4th and 5th of December. It's being held upstairs in the Town Hall and would love to meet you if you're in the vincinty.

I'm going to be demonstrating lots of stamping techniques including some that I was shown by Sue Wilson when I went on my training day the other week. I'll also have a few cards to sell as well but will have lots of samples with me to show you and would love to share with you how they were made.

So now I'm going to try and teach myself how to post some photos for you to look at. Wish me luck and post again soon.

Training Day at Creative Expressions

I've just had the most wonderful day traing with Sue Wilson of Creative Expressions. When you sign up as an Independant Demonstrator for them, you have the chance of going down to Kettering and spending the day with Sue. I met another new demonstrator, Isla, and we had great fun. We were shown around the warehouse where all the lovely stock is stored, had a quick look in the factory where all their wonderful stamps are made and spent the day playing with all the fantastic goodies that CE sell.
I also found out that you can order personalised and self drawn images stamps from them and they will produce them on site. It was an amazing experience for an avid crafter like myself and I look forward to taking some of the techniques we did into my own crafting and sharing with others who may have a "Stamping Party" with me.

As this is my very 1st post I don't have any photos or examples of my work up yet, but over the next few weeks will be spending the time to develop my blog page and share my passion for crafting with you :-)
