Sunday workshop

Well I had a fantastic time at Creative Expressions on Sunday. I met some lovely ladies there and must mention Sheila, who kept me thouroughly entertained all day. What a fab lady she is!!!!!!

We made some beautiful samples from the Native American set and I will shortly be putting these on my blog (thanks to Karen who so kindly showed me that it wasn't the blackberry at fault for my bad photos but the fact that I hadnt cleaned the lens that I didnt know was there-----feel a fool or what????????)

Sue made fantastic coconut slices that were to die for..........wish that she would adopt me just for the baking.

The workshop was amazing.........everyone virtually had their own equiptment provided and there was an abundance of materials available for each of us. Every project was individually bagged up and we all went home with stamp set (already mounted) that we had been working with.

If you ever get the chance to attend one of Sue's workshops you must jump at it..............but please, please make sure you leave me a space as I will most definately be there again.

I think I might hav cracked my pc problems and unless something goes horribly wrong again, will start posting regularly and putting photo of my creations on (never stopped making things during my absence).

Will be back soon..........

A few piccys of my sample cards for Particraft

Hello there.........still busy, busy, busy and a poorly little man but I thought I'd post a few piccys of some of my samples that I've made previously for when I do my Particraft demonstrating. Hope that you like them..................:-)
From the Happy Birthday plate, heat embossed background, heat embossed greeting in white and the ribbons decorated with glossy accents..........simple but quite striking......suitable for a man me thinks

From the Birds plate and Bold Backgrounds plate................just a few different shades of cardstock and Vintage Photo Distress ink pad........

This is a great technique.........ink and clear emboss the edges and then, using your craft mat as a palette put distress ink straight onto it........add sprays of water and then simply slide the card through the watered ink.......dry it with a heat gun and keep repeating that process until the desired background effect is achieved........The stamped image is from the Dream plate.

Hi

Well hello there everyone.................I've been so busy making cards for the craft fair in Bakewell that I haven't had time to take any new photos or even to tell you what I've been up to.

I've not even managed to play much with my Grand Caliber yet and have only used it for cutting out some mats so far. If anyone out there is doing anything adventurous with their machines...........drop me  a line and tell me all about it. Would love to know what you are all getting up to.

My little man has been so poorly this last week too and that's knocked me off my stride. He's lost over 10 pounds in weight so far and the antibiotics don't seem to be working for him. My parents are ill to but I seem to have escaped the virus...........keeping my fingers well and truely crossed :-)

Here's a couple of my sample cards for you to have a look at and I'll get some piccys of the fair cards asap. Until then hope you all have a great week and get plenty of crafting done yourselves............Take care x

using 1 stamp only  from the Dream plate

From the Happy Birtday stamp plate....simple but quite effective

Problems Problems Problems

Hi Everyone...........Sorry not posted for ages but everytime I tried to post my internet would freeze. My wonderful niece has just spent ages on the phone talking me around what the problems could be and I gather it was something to do with my Internet Security. What a wonderful young lady my Clare is and now I shall be able to post to my little heart's content and will get some more piccys on here asap. Been busy making for my first craft fair of the year at Bakewell on 26th Feb but had to diverse from all stamped creations as there are many different tastes out there.

See you in a couple of days.............

No Mojo

It's been nearly 2 weeks since I last posted but I simply haven't had any mojo this last couple of weeks. My little man went away on the 6th December to the states with his Nan and Pops and since he has been gone, I've not been able to come up with anything at all. Thank goodness that he arrives back tomorrow and let's hope my mojo comes back. Missed him so much and can't wait to see him again.
This is an ATC tin that I coloured with alcohol inks and then cut the flowers from metal and coloured them to match. It's one that I did ages ago but thought that you might like to see it.

Did anyone order the Grand Caliber last week on C&C. I did and can't wait for it to come. I have got some of the embossing folders and masks that CE are now supplying and the new Caliber will allow me to use them to their full potential. Will definately post my creations when I get it and start playing.

Thanks for reading. Promise not to leave it so long next time.
